Tom Galway
Director, ACCESS BladeRunners

Tom Galway, the Director of BladeRunners, manages and coordinates the BladeRunners program.

Trina Bird
Provincial Administrator

Trina Bird has been involved with Federal, Provincial and Corporate positions previous to joining BladeRunners. She has an extensive Executive Administrative background along with numerous certificates ranging from Office Administration to Business Management. Trina is originally from the James Smith Cree Nation in Northern Saskatchewan but has lived and worked in the Vancouver area with her three children since 1997. Trina enjoys working with the BladeRunners Team, the Province and the twenty-one Service Delivery Agencies that deliver the BladeRunners Program throughout the Province of British Columbia.

Garry Jobin
Senior BladeRunners Coordinator

Garry Jobin has worked for BladeRunners for the past 20 years and continues to enjoy helping the at risk youth by securing careers in the construction trades. Garry has also assisted with the housing development at the Woodward’s building side by side with the late Jim Green and Garry was also the very first recipient of GVUAS Aboriginal day Leadership Award. Having lived and worked on the DTES for the past 25 years, Garry is well known and well respected. Garry is of Cree decent and he is also a proud grandfather of six grandchildren.

Eddie Taylor
BladeRunners Coordinator

Eddie Taylor has worked with youth for the past 20 years. He joined BladeRunners 12 years ago and has built many great relationships with the youth and also with the Service providers that BladeRunners uses. Thanks to the many supports that Eddie received as a youth, it has shaped his career for him and is the main reason why he chose this field of work, he enjoys giving back and helping youth every day. Eddie`s ancestral background consists of Gwitchin, Cree and English. He is also a proud father of 2 boys and he has 5 siblings.

Anita Wilson
Tenant Support Worker – BladeRunners Place

Anita Wilson has worked as an Employment Counsellor for ACCESS since 2009, during this term, also had the opportunity to work as an Aboriginal Case Manager involved with ACCESS & Employment Program of BC from 2012-2015 prior to joining BladeRunners. She enjoys serving and helping people, her education lies within the field of administration: Legal Secretary, Administrative Assistant & onto Career Development Practitioner. Anita is of Gitxsan First Nation decent and has resided in Vancouver area with her two children since the fall of 1993. Anita enjoys working with the BladeRunners Team, the tenants of BladeRunner Place and Bloom Group (the Building Managers of 250 Powell).

Brenda Crump
BSW Coordinator

Brenda has been the lead Coordinator for the Building Service Worker Training Program out of the BladeRunners office in Vancouver for the past nine years. Brenda has over 19 years of experience in developing curriculum, teaching and coordinating employment programs for various agencies such as a Bridging Program for Women who were dealing with abuse issues, persons with both severe and mild disabilities, youth, Aboriginals, First Nations and Metis persons. Brenda is an original “Vancouverite” as she was born and raised in East Vancouver. She has an adult son who holds Aboriginal status from the Namgis Nation and takes pride in having the privilege of assisting several thousand persons over her career find direction in their employment path.

Lyndel Cappo
Administrative Assistant

Lyndel Cappo is one of our newest members to join the BladeRunners Team. Lyndel is from the Muscowpetung First Nation in Saskatchewan and has lived in Vancouver for the past 2 years with her 4 children. Previous to BladeRunners Lyndel worked in Property Management assisting in the prevention of family homelessness. Lyndel now enjoys being part of the BladeRunners team because it makes a difference in the lives of the youth.
